Candlelight Gentle Yoga/Meditation

In this Gentle Yoga/Meditation class Alexandrea will lead you through gentle yoga postures, incorporating a gentle flow as well as Yin postures, pranayama (breath), mudras (hand gestures that channel your bodies energy to help redirect your energy flow) as well as meditation! This class will leave you feeling restored, and at peace ready to start off your week!

Soul Soothe Meditation Class

In this meditation class Alexandrea will guide you through a soothing meditation, pranayama (breath), as well as mudras (hand gestures that channel your bodies energy flow to help to redirect your energy.)

About Me:
I am an Usuai Reiki Master/Teacher.  I have been practicing Reiki since 2012.  I had never heard of Reiki before and one day my cousin told me about it, I went for a 30-minute session and felt amazing after.  About a month after that I went for a one-hour session and when I left there I knew I needed to learn this wonderful practice, so I can help others.   I found a teacher and began my journey.  I also work with crystals and aromatherapy, they can both be added into a Reiki session or have wonderful healing results on their own.
I practice Meditation, make all-natural soaps, candles and am an ordained Minister of the Universal Life Church.
I am a proud member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals!

Drumming  –  Drumming is relaxing and energizing and the sound of drumming is similar to our heartbeat.  It can help to quiet our mind from the day to day activity and can create a peaceful meditative state.    Drumming can help to release tension and stress, restore our energy and awaken our minds.   When you come to a drum circle, no drum is needed but if you have one you are more than welcome to bring it, the more drums the higher the vibration!!  You will either sit in a chair or on the floor we sit in silence for a few moments to clear our thoughts and then the drumming begins.  The energy and vibration in the room gets stronger the more we drum.  It is a beautiful experience.

Sometimes being stuck in a rotten situation forces you to sit back and take inventory of your life. I knew I HATED sitting in an office all day. It didn’t suit me to tolerate temperamental, demanding and sometimes inappropriately behaved bosses.  I remember sitting at my desk, feeling seriously depressed and stressed, thinking: “Is this it? Can I do this for the rest of my life?” So I did some soul searching.

At that time, I had a part-time job as fitness instructor and I found that I loved helping people reach their fitness goals, and I also remembered how much physical therapy and massage helped me recover from shoulder and back injuries sustained from gymnastics. It just made sense to become a massage therapist, so with intentions on passing my good experience to others, I enrolled in The Institute for Therapeutic Massage in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey.

Since graduating in 2006, I have incorporated Nutrition, Personal Training, Yoga and stress management techniques.  I attend continuing education classes every year to enhance all that I practice, as well as share my knowledge to others so they can enhance their own lives.
